Have a question? I have a kick starter that will not return after it has been kicked. We have checked the bushing and it seems to be clean. When removing the guts the kick unit came a part. I am sure it was put back together correct as shown in the manual. But the kick lever will not return fully. This has been an issue from day one with this mini. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi there is a coil spring that goes behind the gear sounds like it may not be correct.

We have had the same problem for years!!
Until one day I noticed a spur on one of the
teeth of the kick start gear. We replaced the $3
gear and it works Great now!!

Thanks for your quick answers to my problem. I have tried the WD-40 with no luck. The recoil spring looks to be in place. Which spur gear are you speaking of, the larger half gear on the kicker itself or the smaller gear that spins into the starter gear?
Thanks again!
