I found a nitrous kit on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dirt-Bike-Pocket-Rocket-Nitrous-Kit-w-5-NOS-Refills_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a570Q7c66Q 3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c29 3Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZi tem320327399863QQitemZ320327399863QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ 5fParts

what do you guys think about this? i mean it shouldn't be enough to hurt anything but do you think that you would actually gain any power? would it fry anything?
I have a stock motor with jetted carb and 10.8 je piston with yoshi exhaust.

what do you guys think?

i think that it would just be cool to say i have nitro on my EX! lol but would it work...thats the question

worst case scenario...a hole in the piston?

that is so cool, you would have to use it in fifth gear only prolly.

that would be fine. i am just wondering how i could jet it to run good all the time and then not run lean then i hit the "go button".
reccon i could put the nozzle in the intake so the nitrous mixes with the air before it enters the carb...maybe the added air flow would pull more fuel and not run lean. SURELY SOMEONE ON HERE HAS USED THIS KIT OR SOMETHING SIMILAR:D

On a carb'd engine you can only tune it for one or the other. A dry system will spray only nitrous and the fuel will only be delivered with the jets that are in the carb, they can't flow anymore. It would create a very lean condition for sure. Worse case.. burned/melted piston, burned valve, blown head gasket. Now if you put a wet system on there you could tune the engine for both. You would have the dry tune for normal riding and the wet tune for when you were on the bottle since the fuel solenoid would deliver the extra fuel. But a wet system would take a lot of fabricating to make it work on an ATV. I have used just about every nitrous kit out there for drag racing at one time or another. I even had a NOS Big Shot wet plate (275hp shot) and a hidden Compucar dry system (150hp shot) on my Mustang at the same time:)

it looks cool, i was looking at those a wile ago when i had a pocket bike. But they dont look like they will last long for a big motor like ours and buying the refills is expencive.

Are you kidding me ???

Each one of those cylinders will last just about as long as it takes to feel the effect. Opened big enough to get even 10hp would last 2-3 seconds tops. 20 hp and it would just POP...thats it. You wouldnt be able to open the top big enough to get even 5hp out of them

My 1.5 lb bottle will last about 30-60 "on the bottle" seconds set at 20hp.

those cylinders hold like 1-2 oz.

Dont waste your time, nor money trying these.

1-2 oz would be better. The cylinders the dude is selling hold 16 GRAMS!!! That's about 1/2 oz each. Freaking rip off!!

Like I said it wont work. If you try it, and you can get the cylinder to open up BIG enough, you'll fry the engine from lack of fuel.

I wonder how that would work when you're trying to get a hole shot? I mean you're working the clutch with your left hand, hitting the throttle with your right hand, where is the hand to hit the n2o button on the handle bars??? You would have to run the engine rich to accommodate nitrous and it would run like crap when you're off the bottle. So even if it did work and didn't fry a piston, it would run so crappy the rest of the race from being so rich any jump you got at the start would be lost pretty quickly.
