If you never started riding..

I was thinking about this the other day.. I wonder where and what I would be doing if I never started riding and racing quads.. I think I'd prob still into running track, soccer and racing bmx lol.. Then I thought about all the money I would have saved up by now, I dont even want to think about that lol! :eek2:

What would you guys be doing?

im so young its hard to tell,but id prolly have more money and a few less broken fractured and cracked bones and prolly some more lil toys,guns,rc cars,paintballs gun etc. but other than that im not so involved that it would be much more dif. thn it is now

I would have a newer and nicer truck, wouldn't be broke, and would still be able to feel all of the fingers on my left hand, but its all worth it.

As well as everyone else I'd have more money, but i don't know where i would be if i didn't start racing. Probably not to well off as racing has helped me to stay focused on the more important stuff and not on drinking and getting in trouble.

I got a million things. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have any more money, because I would have spend it on SOME hobby or another.

I'd probably either be windsurfing still, or snowboarding more often. Maybe kiteboarding, or I might have built myself an offroad buggy by now. Or I might have finally gotten into gliding or skydiving.

Ain't no way I'd have more money, I would have just spent it on some other adrenaline rush.

If I hadn't ever started riding/racing, I woul;d probably be into bad things. Seriously. But that would never happen. Been riding since I was four. It's part of me, and I can't imagine not riding.

I was into offroading with a 98 Sahara. Ventured to Paragon almost every weekend. I only got into riding because my new girlfriend (now my wife) and her son were bored not getting to drive all the time. We got him 2 dirtbikes so he could bring a friend along. Before you knew it, we all had dirtbikes and the Wrangler was just a street vehicle again. I am guessing without the dirtbikes and now quads, I would still be pretty heavy into the offroad scene but probably have at least 2 vehicles.

I probably would still be mountain biking. But also, into music alot more, drugs and drinking(I did them a decent amount before getting into riding). I would certainly have more money, it doesn't cost much to mountain bike. The biggest expense is the bike ~$2-3,000, replace brake pads so often, rebuild suspension, replace sprocket and chain when they wear,adjust the cables when the shifting its so precise and maybe rebuild the crank every few years.

Its far cheaper to mountain bike, you don't need a truck to bring the bike, no trailer needed, no constant oil changes, no filter cleaning, tires need to be replaced alot more often and they can be more money, you don't need gas for the mountain bike, don't need $300 riding boots, $300-500 helmet, chest protector, wear through gloves alot, things are cheaper to fix when you break them and I'm sure there are some other things. You still need to rebuild suspension, new sprockets/chain and brake pads, but it cost pennies compared to dirtbike/atv stuff.

Riding hasnt really effected my life much.. I would have more money but it didnt take the place of any of my other intrests. I got good at making time for other things.

C. Be a really good guitar player

If I never started riding, i'd still have my health. I wouldn't have 2 hurniated disks, and a pinched nerve that causes shooting pain and numbness down my right leg. Its costing my 120 bucks a week at the chiropractor to help and reduce the pain... And i'd have alot more money in my pocket, as well. Lately I been having a hard time seeing any of my money being dumped into my machines for performance parts. Everything is so expensive!

But I did have to stop riding for a few short years. And the outcome of that wasn't so pretty. I'd probably still own a drivers liscenes and have a clean record if I didn't have to stop riding.. But who knows?

even though im only 16 i would probably still be playing baseball, basketball, and soccer (only sports my school has:rolleyes: ) and i probably wouldnt be having shoulder problems as well. But its all worth it when ya become pro;)

thats exactly what we did when we were younger! :D
but whenever we went off our kicker the can came off.

If I didnt get into ridng i'm almost positive I would have a pretty nice, clean, quick car. I thought about selling the quad a few times to get a car like that but riding is just too much fun to give up. I estimate $4500 or so put into the sport which isnt that much compared to those with suspension and engine work that's a couple grand. I wouldnt mind a WRX :)

if i didn't get envolved in racing, i would still be competing in rock climbing...and i wouldn't have as many scars and my back wouldn't be messed up...but i can't imagine doing anything other than racing now

Uhm... probably still playing soccer, skateboarding, paintball, and probably be in a bad crowd. As of now I swim and play water polo. Though I skip practice quite often to ride. My wrist wouldn't be broken right now if I wasn't riding!

All i do, beside work, is ride. If i didnt have riding i dont know what i would be doing with my life.

I do know i would have a pretty big bank account, but it was all worth it :D

if i didnt get into quads i wouldnt of had a screwed up wrist and i woulda made my mom a hell of lot happier and my dad a hell of alot sadder but lil happier cuz he would have more money.......and id probably be into bmx and more then i am now and skateboardin.....i woulda been more focused on soccer and prob woulda join the football team......and woulda ended up in bad crowd,but good thing i started riding at 3 and now i only hang out with kids who ride quads and dirtbikes.....but i would have about 400$more thne i have now cuz thats how much i have put into parts ouuta my pocket

I had a good career as a mechanic on race cars. Before Ryan Newman got into Cup, and drove his USAC car, I wrenched for him a little. But mainly on a buddies UMP Latemodel. I'm pretty sure if I never moved to Missouri, I would be in that kind of racing still. Probably have my own car and kickin arse :D Or trying to anyway. WHICH is why after this year, I think I am going back to something with a roll cage in it. I love the quad scene and all it's glory, just getting to pricey for me. I thought long and hard about all the $ I have put into my quads... It came up to close to $40k. I am known to buy one, build it, and sell it cheap :D The YFZ I have now is the one I have held onto the longest so far. It kinda grew on me like a wart HAHAHA But to answer your question, some sort of stock car racing for sure. Without a doubt. I can set a car up like no one can on dirt...

I have a blast with the quads though.I think I actually like building them as much as I do riding them.

I have no clue where I would be. I would have a lot more money and my body wouldn't be as jacked up. Still play the amateur circuit on XBOX, dont have enough time to devote to it being in school and working full time. I guess I would have found another dangerous hobby to get my adrenaline from, I am like a junkie, if it scares the ***** out of me I like it.
