A petcock from any year CR dirtbikes will work. But it bolts on under the tank and there is no gas reserve anymore.

Pingel makes em for the "R". Both in a high flow and a reserve style.

Undecided. I have a brand new OEM petcock in package that I plan to keep as a backup.

Do you feel that an aftermaket petcock is necessary? This particular one is for dual carbs, I think.

the OEM works well for a 350cc motor or less. If you have a motor that large, then youll need to run in on RESERVE to ensure full flow.

The model that you have will feed dual carbs (banshee) or a dual float bowl single (CPC like I run) that has dual inlets, or you could tee the two outlets together to feed just one inlet.

or you can tee it into one line .... pingle is good i have a single feed they are real good if your going to run alky

Can you mod the petcock like you can on a zuki 500? You take the petcock apart, grind out the slot, put it back together and run it on "fuel" (the now third position of the petcock) it makes it run on "on" and "reserve" at the same time. Runs close to a pingle, for alot less money, free.

it already does that in the reserve position

It's a shame to see someone put over $10k into a bike then ghettofabulous the fuel petcock. Agreed?

Sorry, I didnt know everyone on this website has 10k to put in thier machine. The mod works great. FOR FREE

I run my zilla on methanol in 500ft drags with a larger fuel bowl and have no problems with fuel starvation with this mod. Well over 10k in my zilla, not to ghettofab for me lol. I call it ingenuity to figure out something on my own rather than pay for someone elses "bolt on" part. It makes my machine mine. Not just like everyone elses

Does a 250r petcock do that? I know any zuki or yamaha petcocks dont, they need "modded" to do that. Never worried about it in my R though, so I never looked.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Some run aftermarket and that's what the original question was. There are many nice bikes on here whose owners would feel the same way.

I didn't mean to start a pissing match. :p

Nice Zilla by the way! I know someone paid a lot of money for something I got with a bike purchase. That's the good thing about eBay sometimes.
