Alpinestars Vectors for racing?

I'll be racing this summer mostly XC but maybe a few MX. Will these boots cut it, or should I go for the Tech 6 (seems more durable). The Vectors are so comfortable that I wonder if they'll give enough support.

I just tried on a pair a few weeks ago, and they rock. I really think they would be fine....Actually Dana was wearing a pair in one of the Huevos films, so I am sure if he wears them, they aren't junk. The sole feels really stiff on them....Alot of support on your arch of the sole...I wanna pair

Well I guess I'll find out, I just got a pair with 4hrs on them off Ebay for $130. ;)

totally go with the tech 8's man, you won't be dissapointed, i love mine, sure it will cost you a lot of money but when you break your ankle and have to pay for health (unless you are canadian like me and don't have too, haha) you will end up paying more in the long run....

I just got the Vectors From santa over the Tech's...I have always ran the tech's and my dealer said he has a new pair of techs in his garage that he dont use because he loves teh vectors so much

vectors are a quality boot my friend likes his tech 8's better but i tried em both out and i like the vectors better, its all opinion :devil

I have a pair of Vectors that are only 1 year old and are falling apart! I went back to teck 6's this time. I have pics of them....they are real bad!:mad:

They were great boots, but they just didn't last very long. I usually get at least 2 years out of a pair of boots.
