Is it still 3 degrees? It was freezing where I live for a while and I got my old XR100 out and it always starts first kick and it was a ***** to start.

My friends quad did the same thing. I got a heatgun and blew it on his engine block for 10-15 minutes and his fired up. I'd recommend trying that or if you have a heated garage just put it in there. You may have to run thinner oil for the cold temperature also but I'd think it should still start.

I heard that if your battery is not charged it will not start. I had this same problem i charged my battery and it worked but i have a banchee.

My z is hard to start when it's in the 30's but all i do is put on the choke.pump the throttle and then releases the throttle and spin until it fires off.takes up to 2 min sometimes.once it fires 1 time it fires up just fine the rest of the day.If i touch the gas while tryinh to fire it up that first time after the couple of pumps it will not start.

a shee with a battery lol thats a good one!!! anyway do you have spark with the plug or did you just test the coil? the only thing with it being that cold is the acid in the baterry will thicken so i would take the battery out and in side over night then hook it up the next day and try it. if that dont work it could be your gas has gotten thick due to the cold are you using your choke? and when its that cold you might need to change the main jet in the carb. i would get it in a warm building and see if it will start!
