250r Rear Brakes

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I have an 86 250r and am desperately in need of a rear brake caliper. Mine has rusted out pretty badly. I believe my frame is an 88 frame? Does anyone know if an 86 caliper will fit on an 88 frame? If anyone has one they'd like to sell let me know!

any year from 86 to 89 will work. Also the 86 ATC will work, I dont believe the 85 will though. Also check the sticky thread for swapping a YZ caliper with minor mods...

an 85 caliper will work too, you will need the brake stay from 86-89, same caliper, different brake stay.

Is yours rebuildable?
I have a compleat set; caliper, master, line, res

there is a thred on how to use a yz450f front caliper for a 250r rear, have you checked that out?

I don't know if it is worth rebuilding. I have been using this site to look at specific parts:

The part number on the site is 11. That peace on my caliper does not adjust properly. Lastly, the caliper leaks.

I have bled the system several times and the breaks work, however fluid eventually leaks and the breaks do not work. I have rebuilt the master cylinder a while back.

Let me know what you guys think.
