thumb throttle cable for 41 fcrmx??

Long time lurker first time poster

Just finnishing up putting an XR650L into a Yamaha Warrior, and I am haveing troubble finding a throttle cable.

The carb is a 41mm FCR-MX, and for the thumb throttle I was thinking about picking up a 400EX thumb throttle.

Does the 400EX throttle have enough travel to open a 41mm carb?

And annyone know of a stock throttle cable that will work?
I called Motion pro and they will only do a custom built cable.

I`am thinking a throttle cable from a Yamaha yfz450 should work for ya.
A few others may chime in with more info.
Cable are cheap if ya get the incorrect one.

YFZ450 is the cable you want to buy. It will work perfect for you. 400ex or 250r throttle will also work find for you.

I will post some pics next week, but man swaping motors and redooing everything,,, that is alot of work!!!

After going through all the trouble of putting a different motor in there I think picking up a 400EX frame
might have been a better idea thain useing the Warrior frame.

The swingarm pivot point on the frame is in the totaly wrong place. I ended up dropping it a bit.

The funny thing the old 350cc Warrior motor weighs about the same as the honda XR650L motor.

yeah the 400ex frame is about as good as it gets for the swap, works out pretty slick. Also, Terry Cable can build you any cable from any carb to any thottle. They have built a few for me, and they were perfect
