kfx question

i have an 08 kfx its all stock, my question is if i run with it with an open air box for ice rideing will that throw a check engine light or cause the quad to shut down of give me a problem , im not looking to break it nor buy a pipe kit, power commander yet since i just bought a house,

what would be the point of running it with the lid off? all thats gunna happen is youll lose power since itll run lean :confused:

honestly , my buddy has the same quad , lid off, and the core out of the pipe and he smokes me, and we both ride to win , if you know what i mean

does he have a power commander? from the dyno's ive seen with stock mapping the cork out and the lid off it loses power :ermm:

honestly no, we just rebuilt the motor with everything stock and its alot faster then mine

for starters, buy a pc3 and run dynojets map for lid off & spark out. you'll need it for future mods anyway.
