The common problem with selling a tricked out/modified quad, is finding a buyer who not only recognizes all of it,... but who also WANTS all of it.

as well, a quad that has that much "go-go" stuff on it, is going to be assumed that it has been ridden hard.
(nobody is going to think that it has only been used by a little old church lady to go get milk from the corner store).

Chances are, the best way to get as much as possible, would be to part it out.

If you kept the stock parts, and can put enough of them back on to keep a running bike,...
then sell the performance goodies seperate, you'll have a better chance at getting more $$$ out of it.

if it were mine and i was selling it i'd say $3 grand but that's only if it's like an 04
i saw a totally xc built 02 elka's 460 kit just broke in aftermarket tank extra tires all kinds of stuff sale for $2,300
it's 09 and an 02 would be 7 years old now so people are thinking what 7 years or riding would do to a quad

ya, your never going to get back what you have in it. your best bet is to part it out. or do you have the original parts? if so you can put it back close to stock, sell the quad AND ALL THE GOODIES sepperate TO MAKE extra coin. also money so tight right now i see elkas going for 3-4 bills on ebay so its not a good time to sell anything. def a buyers market right now. sry

P.S. thats a nice clean quad!!! what kind of header is that?

You have a very nice quad. Dg isn't a very good brand of exhaust though. To me, just looking at that header, it seems very restricted where the two head pipes meet into one.

I used to have DG bumpers and bars on my old quads and was never real impressed with the quality.

Really depends on the market in your area. Look at what others are listing theirs for and make the call. I'd swap the suspension out at a minimum. How do you like that Magura's clutch set up? That's on my wish list.

Did you make this modification or was it on there when you bought the quad? Just wondering if you can compare it "before and after".

It was on it but I owned a 02 400ex and rode the wheels off it with the stock clutch setup, seems alot easyer to pull and smoother as well.

Nice.... Stock clutch set up is the first thing to make me want to stop riding after a full day at the dunes. Major wrist crampage...

What dunes do you ride at? I'm hoping to make it to Glamis some day but idk if that will happen of not.

It is pretty fun to be honest :) Down in Oregon, they let you ride right on the beach! Very cool. Here's a shot of me and my munchkinz at Sand Lake OR.

Looks like a happy family trip. I remember my first quad was a TRX 90 lol I could wheelie that thing forever and ever

It was a fun experience. If it weren't for the ticket I got going down there and the wheel bearing going out on my trailer on the way home, I would have said it was a perfect trip. :ermm: Great memories though and we'll go again this summer for sure.

smelly$cat

Did you wheelie that 90 sitting down or with one knee up on the seat? The latter makes it very easy on them for sure.

Trailer wheel bearing suck I do them at my job on peoples campers and stuff all the time. Happens ALOT in the spring when every one gets tunel vison about geting out on the water with there boats you see tons or trailers with missing wheels on the side of the road.

Maybe I need to try scooting way back on the seating (sitting on the grab bar).

Anyway, time to drive home now...
