It was -5 here saturday morning when I left to go duck hunting. I should have taken my camera but was more interested with paying attention to the ice.

These pics were from the same area but from today, alot of ice is gone and I am kicking myself for not shooting the place yesterday because it was beautiful outside...except for the cold:p

Ryan lives for fishing, and while it was still cold out, he wanted to tag along to see the river

I was wore out from the cold:p

Casey, there were loads of ducks in the breaks, we have got to get in there. I may try and slip in there and ford teh river at the dirt ramp mid week, water depth had dropped about 8 inches from yesterday.

There were also loads of geese at the bridge and several ducks. Below the millville ramp there were tons of megansers.

It sucked. My friend who's stationed in Alaska said it was 50 degrees this past week, while we had his cold weather.

Pappy-Great pics! I really enjoy looking at your photography on here! I do have one stupid question for you. Do you edit your photos before you post them on here??? It looks like what you shoot is what you post but I was just curious.

It was around -20 here a few nights. We couldn't get the snowmobile trailer hooked up to the truck cause the tongue was frozen stiff. Couldn't light a propane torch to thaw it out either... had to heat the torch bottle first, then light it, then thaw the trailer... all while standing outside haha. You get used to it after a while. All the while getting dumped on with snow too. Cant wait to get the wheelers back out on the ice again!

Really the cold isn't THAT bad, until the wind starts blowing, that's really what makes it intolerable.

I do what I have to do and no more. Im not one to want to rely on editi work, but with digital it is a necassary evil sometimes.

Taken this mornin, uploaded about 5 minutes after I got home and then posted here:p

agreed, i was out the other night when it was 0, -15 or something with the windchill and there was no wind, it really wasnt bad at all, then the next day i believe it was pretty windy but warmer and it felt way colder.. haha
