i am just getting started on a 400ex/250r hybrid build. does anyone have any advice or tips they can give me.

should'nt be that hard if ur putting a 250 into 400 frame. the swing arms are pretty much the same. as far as where they mount up

thanks, mac-ando what radiator will mount up without welding on mounting tabs?

I am sure you will have to make new motor mounts. the 250r radiators work well in the 400ex frame, but prepare to do some welding.

im an engineer that spends some time in a machine shop, so i thought about making some kind of bracket that clamps around the frame for the rad. what do you guys think?

Just a suggestion but u might consider some kind of rubber on the mounts to account for the vibrations. If you just mount it up like a 400ex engine it will vibrate the hell out of u.

no it wont a 250r motor has a c/b.Even a cr250 motor wont be bad,you'll only notice slightly more vibes when you rev it up in neutral,its a non issue.:D
