I bought an 04 Predator recently. The previous owner had a service done by the dealership right before I bought it.. I rode it a couple of times and was wanting to change the air filter. When I pulled the old one out I found oil in the bottom of the box. I assume this isn't normal. Is this from being overfull of oil?

It looks like someone stood the quad up on the rear grab bar..

No, it's been up some steep stuff at sand mountain but never been stood up. Oh well I will just clean it out and keep an eye on it.

The Fuji engine will leak oil out of the crankcase vent if the quad is stood up on the rear grab bar.

It is easy to tell if the oil is coming from there by checking the small foam filter at the end of the tube inside the airbox.

This will also occur if the engine/oil tank is over filled.

well I asked around and everyone said it was ok as long as I turn the fuel off. It's the only way it will fit in my garage with my car.

Bad idea leaving my 525s out in the yard in LA
