what year did they change the 250x into the driveshaft ver.. instead of the chain?
how fast are they how fast can u make em for like 500$$

You must think the 250EX and 250X are the same....they're not...they're completely diffrent.

A 250X is essentially a 300EX without electric start, they had a lil bit hotter cam and piston. Also, the 250X had a shorter stroke.


You can make 250X's pretty fast...

I don't think you can make them for 500 $

if u meant the 250ex, they made it shaft in 01, and for $500, mabe u could add about 4hp

so yeah i messend it up i'm talking about a 250x i want to know about them how much to pay for like a 91 and if u can make them fast if they are decently fast u know give me the lowdown

my friend payed 2 grand for a used 91, and hes says it has an "ok" top speed, and he has a whole list on how to make it faster..... if that helps

Well i got a 87 250X for $700 and runs like a champ... They are the same as a 300ex just a slight diffrence in the motor... But they are a good machine and was money well spent on this one... Plus my wife loves it to (cause i paid cash for it, no payments)........:D

i love my 87. i paid 1500 but i have over 4500 in it now with out counting what i paid for it. when took apart the motor last week to put my big bore kit in i found that i was the 1st person to ever open it up since it was built. the thing ran awsom but i wanted more power so i ordered the big bore kit. i cant wait to get it all put back together. the one good thing about tehm is they're still making parts for em cause the 300ex is the same quad. id get it if i were you.
