Banshee Clutch Basket

I wanted to change my clutch basket. They say that there are marks to match it up with the crank gear. I don't see the lines. Do they really matter?

i`ve never come across any lines to match up the clutch drive gear with the crankshaft gear. dont think there are any. not on a banshee anyway.

When reading over instructions, it stated about the lines. I didn't see them either which is why I asked. Thanks!
