lt rear shock lengths

14.75 inch rear shock. Is this a long travel shock? If not, what length does a lt start? thanks

length doesn't acually mean long travel. it depends on the ratio of the linkage and the stroke of the shock more than the length of it.
my race bike has a 18" shock with 11" travel in rear, houser has a 17" shock linkage for 12" travel, lonestars dc-6 requires 16 3/8 for 11" travel

you can even have a standard front end with a 16" shock that has the same travel as a long travel setup with 20.5" shock!


dont hold me against these #'s there off the top of my head but trying to make you understand better

That's not long travel.
I forget how long the stock is, depends on the year of ur bike anyway.

Most LT linkages use around 16-17" shock.
