View Full Version : is riding in snow and slush in the winter bad for my 400?

its 14 degrees here in new york. its been like this for awile. iv been riding in the snow slush and mud for a bit, and its just sitting in my garage frozen solid. am i gonna be taking it out in the spring to find out that i ruined it? rusted anywere?

In the winter i just spray pretty much my entire quad with wd40 except for the brakes and plastics so it doesnt rust.

The biggest thing that will hurt it is road salt. But other than that you might see a tiny bit of rust but it's not like it will be covered. Just wipe off any snow or water that you can. After a while you may want to grease some things though.

It wont be good on it to just sit there.. Need to get the liquid off so it can dry out.. It wont be good on your bearing for sure..
