Cutting The Snorkel Tube

I SAW A WHILE BACK WHERE SOMEONE SAID THAT IF YOU CUT BACK THE SNORKEL TUBE INSIDE THE AIR BOX IT WILL INCREASE HORSEPOWER. HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS OR IS THIS ALL BS?

It all depends on the machine. some machines you are able to run with the lid off. Some machines you can modify the air box by cutting holes and protecting with small screen. There is also the civic intake mod. More air is more power. I don't think sawing the snorkel is gonna get anything noticable.

The predator is compatable with the civic intake. I just upgraded the filter to a UNI with a prefilter cause i ride alot of sand.

Are referring to the snorkel which supplies the airbox with air while the airbox lid is on? If you are, cutting it will not show any gains.

I thought of doing the same thing to my 400 since that tube blocks a portion of the filter.
