I have a few issues I need help with.

1. Clutch cable is hard to pull and feels like its dragging. I lubed it up and adjusted it, no changed. Still works but I think I need a new one Yea or Nay?

2. Brakes despite massive bleeding are spongy, pads are almost to the end. Replace?

3. No matter how I adjust the pilot or idle I cannot get it to stop backfiring when I downshift. I rebuilt the carb 1x already, assuming I need a bigger pilot? Quad has full Duncan exhaust and im running the airbox, no other changes.

#1 I would check the routing of the cable to see if it's binding somewhere, if nothing is found I would replace it.
#2 if they're close to gone......replace!
#3 yep, sounds like you need a bigger pilot to me!

Thats what I figured, any idea what pilot I should try? I mean it did run fine before I messed with it but the idle was a bit low.. All I did was tweak the throttle cable and thats when it began to give me issues.
