Hey Guys,

What's everyones opinions of intake manifolds for 250r's with larger than stock carbs ?

My stocker that I heated up and streched is starting to crack so i need to replace it.

I see UPP makes a Urethane Polymer one specifically for larger carbs. Anyone tried these ?

I was also thinking of using the Boyesen Rad Valve - (CR style) which allows for a 38-39mm carb.....but the price is way up there!

Any other suggestions ?

Thanks

1998 CR250R intake boot and reed cage is a good choice for 38mm carbs.

Also, the 1989 CR250 intake boot works great for VF3's and 38mm carbs.

I've used UPP, Moose, and Boyesen. Personally I don't like the angle of the Boyesen as it makes my air filter setup harder to align. The UPP's and Moose (which look to be identical to UPP) are awesome, flexible, and I've never had a problem with a carb coming out or anything. IMO I'd go this route.

Ok....I'll go with the UPP.

I've seen them on e-bay for $58 brand new.

I just couldn't see dropping $200 for the Rad Valve.....but it does include the reeds & reedcage.

I was just curious if the urethane stayed flexible and made it easy when you remove the carb.

MASTER LT450: I'd hate to think how much $$$ you have wrapped up in your sweet ride......

:D
