Hey guys,
I'd like some suggestions for rear tires for my 8yo daughters new quad.
She is just learning how to ride, so I don't need anything expensive. We're not talking top of the line racing tires here. I just want to get it more stable when cornering, and keep in mind that she is just learning. (I mean that the throttle limiter will be set at no more than half throttle, and 2nd gear riding)

Heck, even some sort of off-brands would be fine with me.

What I'm looking for is a rear tire that is more squared off,(flatter footprint), than the stock "Balloons", for more stability. I want them to go onto the original stock rear wheels.

here's a pic of the stockers...

I may even consider putting some wheel spacers on, until she develops her riding skills a little. She wont be doing any jumps for quite a while, and will be mostly on a flat, dry lakebed, or minor shallow sand.
no racing, no sliding, no jumping. Just Putt-Putt riding only.

That's funny..... if she likes it that Putt-Putt stuff will not last long.

Check into a set of snow-hogs.

Yeah snow hogs or a set of stock DRR 90 take offs... that is where Josh's rear tires went, on a TRX90. Someone might have them for cheap or free. Snow hogs will be lighter and more MX race type, but you can get cheap.

flat, dry lakebed and shallow sand no jumping just putt-putt. I would think the stock tires would do better than the snow hogs they should stay on top of the sand if ya run low psi we run snow hogs on the lt80 for flat track work good on hard pack but get stuck alot more than any other tire I have ran in the sand. I thought they were snow hogs I have they may have a bigger size that would do better but the tires we had sucked in the sand

I like the turf tamers idea. that is what I have on my 400ex, and am quite content with them. Thanks,

What is the bolt pattern/size of the front and rear wheels on the '06 TRX90?

Something else to consider is wheel spacers. I put a set Durablue spacers on the rear of our 90ex (1/2" I think) and it was quite a difference.

Swwww don't tell the old lady I got here thinking I know everything.....yea right.

Sorry that's one of those things that has all ways confused me. Kinda like offset but that has just sunk....after I just bought Kyle's new wheels and tires. And now the bolt pattern has sunk.....

It's only been seven years now.......lol

turf tamers, and you can get a set of douglas rims that fit the stock bolt pattern, cheap call james lucky, they have the front and rear tire kits already mounted, on the right rims for your trx, at a good price. you can also get them from kids on quads for about the same price, they will lower and widen your trx for better stability
