Hey,
I have a 1999 Honda Foreman 450es and it's been a pain during the last year. The battery lasts for about three months so I am thinking the stator or something along that line needs to be replaced. It will start right up and idle fine but, when you give it gas, it dies. You can ride it around and get up to fourth gear and suddenly it will just cut out. I replaced the plug and cleaned the carb and no difference. If I let it idle it sounds fine and won't die. Does anybody know if there is something with the electrical that is causing the problem or something else? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Andrew

that year still has the old style choke, even though it may be off according to the lever they were bad to stick down on the carb. Check that out, a choke left on will cause one to die like that when it gets warmed up
