How do you get the swing arm bolt out? i'm in the process of a rebuild and i can not for the love get the dang bolt out of the frame. i tried hitting it with a mallet and tried turning it but it won't budge. i broke a socket on it. i'm scared if i force too much i'll round off the head. i did get the nut off the other side though.
so please someone help me out and let me know what i need to do.
Thanks

I've always threaded the nut on just so it is flush with the end of the bolt and give it a good wack with a hammer, that should break it loose and keep from stripping the end of the bolt. They can seize in there though.

penetrating oil and a big hammer. order a new bolt and nut you will need them. dont miss and hit your cases.

brass punch or block of wood,if its cold were you are heat frame where bolt go,s though then hit ,there is a cold spray bottle to freeze bolt too. combined with bolt loosing grease. that or drill hole in bolt and find something to pull it out with somekind of winch device.

what we have done is cut the bolt head off and hit it out the opposite way. it has worked both times on stubborn bolts for us.
the buy the swinger bolt with the zirk in it and grease it every 2 rides!!!!!!!!
i just beat it with a hammer. once is gets too far in. get a small screwdriver and put it on the end of the bolt and beat on the screw driver. it should come out

Get a new bolt and nut and have Pappy molycoat them and the sleeves in the swingarm and no more issues. I've had this done the last 3 years and I can push mine out with my finger.
