No, this is in the correct forum section. There is a Polaris Outlaw in the video.

Nice race. I don't think anyone said the 700xx is slow, but there is more to a quad thena straight line drag. But good win anyways. On a side note, I think his 15 tooth front sprocket hurt him. That sprocket is good to stretch the legs and not for short drags.

these were by no means short runs, we topped the bikes out 100%.

yes his 700xx has more top end then my outlaw

jeff, why dont you go back to your 700xx forum instead of being a douche:o

you're taking the "fun" out of our little smack talk stuff by coming into this section just to start ****.

Man, I wish I could have gone up there with you guys.

You could have had someone stock to beat up on.

I has my paddles though so I would have got you on the hole-shot. (and sucked on top end)

Oh yeah 5W, you need to change your sig from it being stock....

actually, it boils down to best rider usually. in atvsports shootout between all the big bores..525s,700s. the outlaw 525S did better in the 100 yard dash than ANY other quad. it beat the 700r, 700xx, and even the KTM!

the 700xx had it on topend though. by like 1-2 mph.

so its all rider.

i like the outlaw more. who wants a heavy sport quad? unless its a scrammy, and thats cause scrammys are two stroke and moddable as hell.

so the point is.

Outlaw > 700XX

I hardly call 50-60 pounds difference "heavy" when the honda has a full radiator, full gas tank, battery and oil in it and the Outlaw has nothing but plastic metal and assembly lube.

As you said it all boils down to the rider and IMO the Outlaw rider was better then the rest of the big-bore riders by far.

so you're saying the outlaw doesnt have a radiator, gas tank, batter or oil?

with the powercommander Jeff's bike REALLY woke up. suprised the heck out of me for sure. but i still feel the only place he's got me is on pure top end. that's it. :o :o

we'll find out some other time. untill then i feel my little 510cc hangs pretty good compared to that big bad 700

There's no doubt rider has a lot to do with wins and in drag racing there are many veriables. But a win is a win. But I will say, 50-60 lbs is a big difference. It's not if your a trail rider or a once in awhile racer. But if you race, that is huge. That would be like saying a Pred at 415 lbs isn't that big of a deal over a 450r at 365lbs. You race then on a mx or xc race, the weight alone will ware you out quicker.

Good point on the racing perspective.

i think youre misinformed. There is a 50-60 lb (min) wet weight to wet weight weight.
the outlaw is 395 dry
the 700xx is 505 wet

but it is a pet peeve of mine when people compare dry weights...and its always big guys lol

I believe it would be a better race with them both on stock sprockets. The XX is being short changed with the 13 w/ big 3 and as GE4X4 mentioned the 15 on the Polaris is to tall.

The 13t on the XX cures some low speed driveability problems on a stock XX. The big 3 on the XX solves it making the 13t gearing to low.

i think that the outlaw will outperform the 700xx in the trails and track for sure. And drag racing can be won by anyone who is the better rider. I raced a renegade 800 4x4 with aftermarket clutch kit and powercommander. If i got the holshot on him he could not pass me and if he got the holeshot i could not pass him. He was totaly shocked that my 525 irs with just exaust and jetting could give him such a run and be in front of him. so i will race any 700xx and could prob get in front and never look back, all matters on holeshot. just my opinion
