i blew my head gasket and im replacing it. Should i use factory torque specs (19-22 foot pounds) or torque it tighter since its after market high compression piston and such????? thanks its a lt250r 1992

you might also want to check to see if there are heavy duty studs available for your bike.

Torque spec's are for getting the head bolts to the correct tightness, with out stripping out the engine case.

Stock headbolts can stretch when using a high compression piston, especially if you are over 11:1 compression.
This is most likely what caused your blown head gasket.

reusing the same, old, headbolts,
leaves you more likely to blow another headgasket.

If you do not upgrade to HD bolts, it is very adviseable to at least use brand new headbolts.
