Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 2000 wolverine 350 4x4. It runs good, but it seems to have a shifting problem. It is very hard to shift up. Sometimes it goes easy, but as soon as you get to shifting into third or higher, you need to put some serious pressure on the shifter to get it to shift up, sometimes you have to try 2-3 times before you get it. It is only hard to shift into 3rd, 4th and 5th. Sometimes 2nd even gives me trouble. Once you are in the gear, it works fine, good power and no grinding. It shifts downs just fine.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Thank you!

Yeah, I think the right cure would be some fresh air in the tires, a new thumb throttle and a straight set of racks.

i had a wolverine as my first quad it was hard to shift too(started wearing steel toes just to ride) then i got a hand shifter than attached to the foot lever as an assist. it may just be the nature of the beast. other than that i have no idea to help fix it...sorry man.
