Ok guys, looking for opinions on this one.
I am building a 86 R.
Had all 400EX rear axle and brake parts in the rear.
Got a RPM adjustable axle from a buddy to try in the rear.
I took the R axle and installed it with the 400EX brake stay, rotor and axle nut. I made a 1/8" spacer to go between the brake rotor and the axle nut so that the axle nut could be tightened up and still be able to have a nice amount of thread in the nut. Looks like it will all work just fine.
Only reason for using the 400 brake parts is because I already had them, that many less parts to have to buy.
Does anybody see any problems with this set up or ever tried it and ran into problems because of it?
If so then I will just sell the 400 parts and find R parts to replace.
