I have a 2007 ltr and i noticed a couple days ago that there was a small puddle of oil under it. I flipped it up on the grab bar to inspect it. The two bottom casing bolts were tight and all the visible fittings on the lines were tight. I didnt see any cracks or anything in the casing either. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and if this is a common thing? Also if anyone has any ideas where it could be leaking from that i might have overlooked?

The oil is probably coming from from the oil tank drain bolt. The threads in the tank for the bolt strip out easy. Then the bolt doesn't seal, letting oil drip out. Check that out. You may be lucky and the bolt is just loose. If so, snug it up. But do NOT put a lot of force into tightening it. ;)

my buddies ltr leaked out of the case half's, they had to split it and re seal it.

the best way to see were a leak is coming from is to clean the entire suspected leak area and make sure its completely dry, then get urself a can of aerosol spray foot powder and spray it till ther's a good coating of white, then were it leaks itll get stained from the oil.
