A buddy has a 2005 450r and a full ballance hmf (with header), someone on here must have a similar setup to this, it needs a rejet but what jet sizes does he need??

He's still got the factory air filter and lid.

tell him the first thing he needs to do is get rid of the lid and buy a uni air filter.

it kinda kills the purpose.

yea you will have to clean your filter more but you will get some serious power gains.

i think i recall somewhere that with the lid on its a 135 main thats needed....not too sure. I know its gonna be right around a 185 and a HRC needle with the lid off.

try a 180 -185 main above 50 degreees Farenheit,,,, colder more freezing.... try a 185-195..... with lid off and an uni or k n

I have a full FMF exhaust with power bomb header, K&N filter w/lid off and running a 185 main and a 50 slow jet. Runs perfect. Elevation is around 1.5k to 2k.
