Who have you guys used for porting your 90s? This would need to be ported for the Hetrick pipe. Pump-gas required.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing for us is to retain TRAIL-ABILITY!!!

I don't want a wicked high clutch engagement. We have the Hetrick pipe now, but if there is a much better choice out there for trail riding, I will sell this and get that pipe instead. I'll need to know about the pipe before the porting obviously. I know getting the head cut will really help as it sits now, but might as well get some porting while I'm in there.

if you cut the head and do some porting you are not likely to be able to run pump gas at all. If you want trailability and pump gas maybe you should consider going Big Bore for more power. However that being said I would have to agree with the statement about Billy Holt. I would call Billy and tell him what you are trying to accomplish.

Yea Call Billy and tell him what you want and he can pretty much set it up any way the you want it, not only is he great at what he does, he is an awsome guy to deal with and will take the time on the phone with you and explain things and after you get something done he will take the time (no matter how long it takes) to help you out if you ever have any problems. I have been dealing with him for a couple of years now, and would highly reccomend him to anybody.

When you raise the exhaust port, you must do head work to correct the compression ratios.

Billy's the man. :)

Condsider also, a 54 mm kit with tame port timing and a triple port exhaust will give a wide broad band of power and tons of torque without needing huge rpm's . it is a great trail riding combo even with the Hetrick pipe. bolts on with no mods needed and you could ADD A 45MM crank and get a little more. this would be dependeble low maintainance set-up. pump gas all the way.

Yea your not racing so cc's don't mater......the jug will put you at 96cc, jug and crank will put you at 110cc. With all kind of bottom end for the trails.

This is for our Scrambler 90 which is air-cooled. I don't want to mess with the crankshaft right now.

:eek2: Can't wait to see the results...

This sounds like a great package for the type of riding we do.
