Wow, that thing is over $60.00 from www.servicehonda.com. Could there be a cheaper generic one at an Auto Parts Store?

Ok, the valve spring compressor from Pep-Boys didn't work.

But, check out this one I made last night. It worked great and its inexpensive to make. If anyone wants me to make them one, let me know.

If you are planning on replacing your valve seals because of a bigger bore kit or different cam, you will need this tool.

Why do you need new valve seals with a big bore kit or a cam?

Im not sure. But i think the stock seals are rubber and the upgraded ones are urethane.

Well I dont' think it's absolutely necessary,,but when you buy the 416 kit from Terry at marcums,,,he recommends the viton seals because they withstand heat better than the stock ones,,I'm sure you could leave well enough alone and be fine..

Because you will find lots of carbon deposits on the valves and top of the combustion chamber. A dremel tool with a brass brush will clean it well. Also my old valve seals looked shot anyway.  :huh

Knightime...go to Sears. They have two different ones, don't get the large clamp type one like you saw in an earlier post. They sell a smaller one for around $20.00, it is a little big for the springs, but will work just fine.Jim

Tinner, why would I go to Sears when I already made the freakin compressor?:huh
