fuel cock assy clogged

One day my four wheeler sat for awhile and the on gas selection was clogged. Then during this winter I took apart the whole four wheeler apart as a winter tune up. I took the cock assy apart and blew through it and felt it was clogged and kinda gave up but when I put it back together my res selection now was clogged. Any tips or tricks to some how make it work again? anything would be apreciated.

Strip a solid copper wire or just regulalr solidwire and turn it to the reserve and put the wire through it until it pushes the blockage through.. Better to do it when the tank's empty and off so you can shake the debris out of the tank.
