i got some more pics of the cylinder and piston for you all to look at.

C-LEIGH....i took a pic of the front.i think your right and this is most likely the same cast as the powervalve, just not machined.i also took a pic of the piston for you.i wonder if you send it back later, would they machine the power valve in for you.

I think Neil probably wanted to see the intake side of the piston.

I don't know about E1, but the C7 might be the porting. Did you get TRX 7 porting or TRX9. If you got 9, then who knows.

Well, not realy, what I was wanting the see was the machined area around the wrist pin hole & I can see its the same as the older pistons.
I can see enough of the intake side to see the cutaway on the skirt is like a late model CR pistons, squaire & not round.

I can see on the cylinder, the exhaust flange mount is thicker than the Pro-x & shaped different at the bottom. On the left outside, the ESR cylinder dont have the round bosses cast into the sides. On the Pro-x cylinders, thats the first things that are machined on the casting so it can be alined & mounted to the CNC machine for machining.

Called Monday to ESR, after all these years dealing with them, first time I talked direct to Eddie himself.
Hes interested in getting this new cylinder perfect as can be & willing to listen if any problems & to correct them. We talked for a good while, & in that time, I could see hes not going to kick the 250R to the side, maybe the 4 strokes but not the 2 strokes.
Willing as he is, we as 250R owners need to keep that in mind & lets not mess that up.
We dont need to throw LA Sleeve or CT Racing away either because they are still devoted to the old R as well.
Got to support who supports you, we all need to stick together.

In the same spirit, Arlan Lehman (founder of LRD) has branched out and created a new shop called LED Performance, and word has it that he's excited about rekindling his love for the 250r.
