cracked sub frame

i tore the rear fenders off my 03 z and the sub frame is broke where it mounts to the frame on the right side up top. i'm just going to but a new sub frame but am wondering if i could buy a newer one that has the bolt on wheelie bar instead of mine just being one piece. i think it would be on 04 or 05 and later. if so would it be a direct bolt on or would i have to mod it somehow. thanks ahead for the help.

Yes the 04 -05 will work

It will bolt directly in. The rear fender brackets are different though. Also the newer subframe doesn't use the seperate taillight bracket. But you just remove your taillight from the bracket and snap it into the newer subframe.
