i would go with 1500-2000 with what you have on it....

Remember the old trick on selling cars,atvs,etc....little bit of elbow grease.... IE: wax, armorall the tires etc and you should have no problem even in this economy....

krt400ex,

I just checked Craigs List here in Oregon and quads looking less then yours are going for between 3000-3500. I would say 1500 is one heck of a deal. I would send you a cashiers check tonight, but I dont want to pay for shipping. :( That a nice quad and you shouldnt have any problems selling it. GOOD LUCK :)

keep in mind that what people are asking for and getting are two different things but you could DEF get 1500 for it as long as you have a clean title. Not sure why but west coasters seem to be able to get more for stuff than us east coasters....sometimes as much as double.

Stop living in the past man 4 strokes are were its at and u could sell your quad and have enough money for a 250f. Youd have to sell it for more like 2500 though for one.

Remember, what people are asking for, and what they are getting are 2 different things. Times are rough, no one is buying. Its a buyers market to get a good deal...

is it stolen??????????:D

haha, no. i have the title and its clean. it needs a couple of things. one of the lower a arms is a little bent. not bad though. the headlight bracket broke when a branch fell on it last time we had an ice storm and i was riding. and it needs a new rear rim...which is only $40. so it dont need much but a couple of things.

as for the 250F thing, i am a two stroke guy. if i had a 250R i would not want to sell the quad. there is nothing like hitting the powerband and listening to that engine sing as you go through the gears...the RPMs never dropping. its just too much fun.

AMEN! I love when you come out of a turn, holding er' wide open.. it screaming... pulling the front wheel off the ground.. its such a rush! For me though, I need a thumper and a screamer.. I didn't do well on just one (2 stroke.. I need something else to ride while I am rebuilding it every month! haha In less than a month I put over 60 hours on it! :eek2: it was just too much fun!)

part of the reason that west coast bikes sell for more is we dont have as much dirt riding available to us. Thus we ride in the sand.

We also dont have as much off road racing. Most of the bikes that are for sale have very little abuse (or hard use for that matter). Peps tend to fix them up (bling) and take a lot of pride in a good looking ride.

Not to say that East coasters dont take care of their machines, we just dont ride em in the MUD as much and our bikes stay shinnier longer.

Riding areas are not close. I live in the Portland area and the nearest killer public owned trail riding is an hour away. Its a day trip. You just dont come home and jump on your bike, ride it to the end of the road and be bop across the neighbors land to the open woods. thus when you get done, you stop by the local car wash and spend another 60 minutes washing them. if you break something, you stop the next week at your stealership and buy a new one.

dunatic,

were neighbors!!!:) I live in Beaverton. I guess what your saying make sense. I wonder if it has to do with the cost of living too? The furtherest east I have been is IOWA and you can buy a 2000sq ft home with a good chunk of land for less than 150K.

Where do yall ride? We mostly hit SANDLAKE:ermm:

and thats why we have a 2nd house next to our riding area and a pressure washer and my airbox is full of tools

To answer the question on the leftover 07 400EX prices on the east coast - $3895 - just bought one:) With setup, taxes, licensing - about 4300 OTD. I was looking for a 2005 or newer used one and payed the extra $$ to have a new one with 1 yr warranty.

Forgot - plus the 3.9/4.9% financing still applies to the 07s along with Honda Bucks.

If you want to find a place with one - I didn't buy mine at this place, but the place I bough mine from is out.

dsherw00d,

Good for you man! Im looking for a quad for my wife and thats a great price. Close out quads here in OREGON are going for 5999. If I hustle and talk the sales guy down I might be able to get it for 5 even, THAT SUCKS :(

same here, their best deals still suck.

Maybe that's one advantage to living in a depressed area of the country like Buffalo:(

Also, make sure your dealers are using all the incentives. Some of them hold them back until negotiations for extra leverage - especially if you have a trade.

For Maryland - I might drive the 5-6 hours to NY to save a $1000-1500.
