400ex xc racing suspension setup??

i have a 2000 400ex with 450r front shocks. i have a new 400ex stock shock coming in the mail from a buddy that came straight of his new 400ex. ( my old one needed a rebuild and this was cheaper) so i'm just wondering what all i should do as far as setup?? like compression and reboud and stuff any basic info??

I rode stock 450r shocks when I had my 400ex. I didnt see anything special about them. Send them somewhere to get worked over real good first and then starting playing w/ your adjustments
