Hey Z before you get crazy you might wanna do some research on that chasis. I was talking to Joe at JRD today and there are only 3 chasis out there that accept the 250r motor.

jrd gave me a hard time when i wanted to put the R motor in mine...besides the motor mounts, all u need is to move or remove one frame member where the pipe will go.

the swingarm spacers are stock 250r componets.

a carb boot also needs to be made.

also if i remember right, the mounts didn't line up right either....i had to have the shop that did the frame work make new ones using the jrd ones as a template.

bill, do u have any local race shops by u? i mean, throw the through bolt through, and then mock up some new ones? no?

u know how the old ones were...

thats what they told me on the phone today, but it was either he said "we only made 3 motor mount kits" or there was only 3 chassis. They seemed pretty confused, and he said "ill have to ask my son if he still has the info on making them"

and 800screws, your right, ill most likely fab some up my self, my buddy is a certified welder and can make anything pretty much......

JRd is supposed to call me back. I wish the person i sold the last frame to was on here , or saw this..i cant find contact info. If he had them id buy them.

heres a pic of the setup

u know how the old ones were...

which mount did they modify ...the rear one that wasnt painted?

i also remember you had the pipe modified because of the radiator hitting it

Well they quoted me 600 for mounts, i think ill be making them my self.. I have a lathe and everything for the spacers so thats not a big deal, and i know someone with just about every metal cutting tool you can imagine. So i guess ill see what happens...

That's crazy because when I was there talking too joe face to face he told me it cost $900 for some r motor mounts. I didn't say anything but that is just unreal.
