anyone own an older lexus?

found a 92 lexus ls400 by my house for sale. can pick it up for $1,600. the car drives like a dream, it felt like I was floating on a cloud. but the bad thing is it has 209,000 miles. The blue book value is over 5g. anyone have experience with these? I think I could make a quick buck off of it

nah I dont have any pics yet. It's black and man this this rides awesome. I was amazed when I turned on the key and watched the dash light up lol. it is still at the guys house until we get it all finalized. quick stupid question, is it front wheel drive or rear wheel drive? I thought it was front but when I was looking up rims I seen rear, so idk?

They're rear wheel drive.

Damn right, definitely get a manual though. I love my is300 to death, not really that fast, but a beautiful car and it handles awesome.

As far as the sc400, I would definitely get it, its got a long life ahead of it. I would pick it up if it was around locally just to daily drive. V8 + RWD + Lexus build quality + $1600 = Killer deal haha.

You mean ES 250, the predecessor to the ES 300? I believe the IS series wasn't introduced until 2000 or so.

Great cars. Growing up, my mom had 2 generations of ES 300's, a GS 300, and then a SC 430 after that. Lexus cars are just silky smooth in every way, powerful, ride nice, look great....what's not to like? I respect Mercedes and BMW but i'd rather own a Lexus any day of the week.

I have an 06 es330 and love the thing. I've put 90,000 on it in the two years I've had it and it has never had a problem. The oil filter is pita to get to though. But that's my complaint and does'nt really apply here lol

actually its a es300 im pretty sure, I'm a bimmer guy so I don't know to much about Lexus.

they are fast, i was at a light one time and when it turned green. he punched it so i punched it and he stayed right next to me all the way. i was like WTF, my stang was all stock so i went home and started moddin !!!
