Hi all,
I am looking to buy a used trx90 for my 8yo daughter. I am wondering if there are any particular years of trx90 that are preffered or should be avoided?

we will only be riding in local high desert (So.Cal.) trails, open desert. No racing, no tracks.
Family pleasure riding only.

I realize that in '06 the trx90 got the new plastics, and electric start.I also noticed that up until '02, they were 90cc, but in '03 they went to 86cc (this is per Kelly blue Book)

so can anyone here tell me if any particular year is better/worse than the rest?

for the type of riding your doing i would go with the 06 and newer
due to the electric start

Thanks guys,
I came home with one yesterday, an '06 in near mint condition, w/ a extra rear set of itp paddles on rims, and a flagpole, for $1300. total.

Thanks Mike,
I dont know if you had seen an earlier thread I put up on the open forum about getting the plastics to shine ?
but if you hadn't seen it, then here's a little tip...

Pledge makes a product similar to "Mop'n'Glo" for kitchen floors.
It is an all Acrylic, clear liquid, floor shine, and it is called "Future Shine". It is pretty cool stuff, dries completely, will not attract dust like WD-40, and dosent yellow. this stuff shines up the plastics better than brand new.
Get some and give it a try, you'll be impressed. It even fills/hides most of the small scratches

After I put it on my wifes 250ex, she made the comment...
"It looks so good, I'll be afraid to get it dirty"

(Yeah right,.... We'll see about THAT !!!) LOL!!!
