13:1 yes or no

i just had my bike rebuilt with new wiseco 13:1 piston and new cylinder, my ? is to use race gas or no? and is the wiseco a good choice of piston any one had any problems with them?

Wiseco makes a good product from what I've read.
And yes, you are now a 100+ octane race gas user.;)

its has about 1/4 gallon of 89 in it its not been rode but has been started and it ran good i just didnt know if i should fill it up with 110 or if 93 would hurt it

You need to take that gas out and run at least 100oct like stated before. If not, it's gonna cost you some problems. If you're worried about paying the cost of the gas you should have gone with a 12.1

naw, im not worried bout the price of it im just askin ?'s because i know if i got a 13 5:1 it requires full race gas i didnt know about 13:1, how do u get 100 octane mix 93 and 110 or what

Yeah, I mixed mine. I used to go 50/50 which is 102/103. Something like that.

hey Ride1Rob i picked the bike up 2day from the shop and went ahead and filled it up with 110 1.8 gallons plus the 89 octane that was left in the tank which wasnt much since a stock tank is 2.6 gallons that mean .9 or less of 89 was in the tank, that ok? another question i have is breakin it in the guy who built it said he heat cycled it 3 or 4 times and when i got it home i rode it 15mins very easy not gettin out of 3rd gear and not past 1/4 throttle i let it cool for 25 mins and rode it for 10 more very easy just how much of this and how long do i need to break it in? it has a new cylinder and HC piston kit

Normaly anything over 12.5 should be ran with race gas.

wiseco is a very good piston co. and since you got the 13 i would recommend race gas because if not you might end up with detonation

not to jump into an old post but isn't the 13:1 if its a 04/05? since you have an 06 + bike it would only be 12.4:1 or something but maybe i'm incorrect.
