inter-changeable parts for 300ex:D:D

ok so ive been doing some reasearch and tried some of these mods and all of these will fit a 300ex

a trx450r and a yamaha blaster grab bar will fit on a 300ex

a 450r and a 400ex bumper fill fit a 300ex with some washers

450r and 400ex shocks will fit a 300ex with a mounting bracket

250r,400ex,450r and newer style plastics (fenders) will fit a 300ex with some mods

400ex and 450r handlebar clamp fits a 300ex. this means you can buy some clamps and lights from trailtech

a 400ex muffler end pipe will fot a 300ex with some drilling required

rims and wheels are all the same on a 300ex,400ex,450r,250r,250ex

400ex carbs work great on a 300ex for more power

400ex graphics kits work well on a 300ex with some cutting required

400ex a arms work on a 300ex as wel as 450r a arms
you will have to buy some 450r tie rods also

450r and 400ex nerf bars work well on a 300ex with some mods

400ex aluminum airbox works for a 300ex also with haveing to mod the boots

You need to break that list down:

1. Parts that bolt on with zero modification necessary

2. Parts that bolt on with slight modification or misc small parts

3. Parts that will work, but require more extensive modificatons and/or other parts to work and mild modification to the bike or part (drilling, etc).

Also, I'm sure everyone would like to know what exact parts are needed for some of these mods.

450r a-ams dont bolt right up. you have to move the mounts further apart for them to work.

Regarding the 450r a-arms it is the lower a-arms that are wider and would need the lower monts moved on the frame. The uper a-arms will bolt in. also the 400ex a-arms are about 2" longer per side, and the 450r a-arms are about 3" longer perside. Her is a link to some stuff you mite find useful

yes i forgot. there are brackets made so 300ex can hold a 450r arm

id like to see what that bracket looks like. Im not a fan of those brackets on ebay what so ever to widen the front.

idk cause i know an awesome welder and i know he would let me bring the frame to his shop to cut the original mounts off and re-weld them back on.
