i was wanting to know if a e-brake block off plate serves a purpose or just cosmetic???? i took my brake off and was wanting to know

Ive wondered the same thing but I figure it wiil have to keep dirt out of that particular part of the brake so for 10 bucks ...i put em on all mine.....

yes it serves a purpose. Leave it open, and your caliper will seize from water, mud, and sand etc getting into you rear caliper. Thats the reason they have a gasket
