early 90's mustangs?

Well I was always a fan of the old body styles, and recently picked up a 92 mustang lx (4 cyl :rolleyes: ). long story short, im selling it today and talked to a guy about a 5.0 he has for sale. I've never seen it, but he says it good condition with about 20,000 miles on a rebuilt motor and he has a few mods such as intake,etc. He's asking 3,500. Just curious to see if it would be worth that if its in good shape. I really want it but dont want to purchase it and lose out. thanks, neil

Kind of hard for us to tell you what it is worth without more details and pictures so we can see the overall condition of it.

I raced a 91 Blown LX for years, loved that car. I have a 2004 now and its ok but will be sold and I will pick up a early 90's coupe and build it up over the next few years.

Sure it is:p I see them go for way more then that around here with the basic add ons (exhaust, gears etc)

Something is usually worth what ever someone is willing to pay!

yeh I know what you mean. I bought my 4 cyl. because it only has 54,000 miles. a/c and heat still work and it doesn't look bad at all. I picked it up for $800 and today someone is coming pick it up for $1,600. I don't think I made out too bad. The 5.0 im going look at, the guy said its pushing 300hp.

I have an 07 GT and have been looking for an early 90s as a DD but I can't seem to find them as cheap as I was hoping...It seems like the price is pretty reasonable for the car go to NADA website or KBB and see what they say....

i had a 93 4 banger, i was gonna drop a 302 in her but didnt wanna go through with the swapping of mounts and what not i ended up putting a svo turbo motor in it :) my fast 1/4 mile time was a 13.8 :) wish i woulda took more pics of the car be for a tree demolished it haha

300hp out of a 5.0 foxxer for 3500 in descent shape isnt bad at all. But for it to have 300 whp its prolly gonna have to be pretty built, my buddy has a 91' notchback with an f303 cam, ported heads, full bolt ons and he only put down 29x whp.

I don't see anywhere that he said the car had 300hp but I might be missing something lol....

Anyway my best times in my car so far was a 13.3 I did it on street tires with a 2.0 60ft....Started running some ET streets but didn't get enough passes in to really get used to them...ran consistant 13.3s on those....Last run of the season I launched at a higher rpm (5500) and the car didn't bog cut me a decent 60ft but I missed 3rd...probably would have been my 12 second pass but o well come spring it should be FI and be a damn fun car hahaha...
