rear fender ? - any difference from 2006-2008?

I put my wife's 2008 fender on my 2006 so I could race this past weekend and it seemed to fit fine. However, I went to order a new rear fender and the part numbers are different for 2006, 2007, and 2008. Is it just the color of red that might be slightly different or is there more to it? I couldn't see a color difference.

I have 08 plastic on my 07. no idea why its a different part number but they mount up fine.

thanks. There is a difference in price for each of the years too. The 2008 has a cheaper list price.

as far as color change from year to year (such as red to red) there is none..

I ordered the 2008 from Yamaha of Troy for $113. List price on the 2008 is ~$30 cheaper than the 2006 plastic.
