My friend has a 2001 660 and it won't start. It sat for a year then he shipped it to his house . I flushed out the carb and he put a new bat. And spark plug all crank onad spark but no fire up.

NE fuel smell in the exhaust?

Are you getting any spark?

This confused me:

"And spark plug all crank onad spark but no fire up."

Thanks for yiur reply. Sorry about that im on a black berry. Its getting a spark and the motor cranks over fine. Fuel is getting to the carb floats, i'm not use to this type of carb. The slide in the carb doesn't move up and down with the thumb throttle like my honda does. Gas is clean and no smell in the exhaust (bike isn't flodded). When i spray card cleaner into the intake the bike will fire up but then die when its used up. To me it seems like gas isn't getting into the top of the carb. What do you think.

Sounds like the floats might be stuck or the needle is stuck. Try tapping on the side of the carb with the back of a screwdriver. Hope it helps!!
