Dyno shop

I've really been putting much thought into opening a dyno tuning shop for bikes, quads, and karts. What are your opinions on what makes a good shop beside a knowledgeable technician? There isn't really anyone around where i live that offers public access to a dyno. Give me your feedback.

my local shop is really involved with the local races. There is always a bunch of people from the shop at every race. I always liked that about them because they know how a lot of the bikes are ridden and by who so they can adjust them that way

sounds good .if your doing it do you have a shop?.around here in pa.there was a person that had a dyno in a trailer.he would go around to different.rides.exc and charge people .

i've got a personal shop right now, but i'm looking to rent a commercial building down the road from my house and i'd set-up shop there.

Email Dynojet they have alot of useful ideas on how to sell your dyno service to people, they give you prices on the dynos and such.

thats a good idea.i was a serv wrighter at a shop.we were a dynojet dealer.had a dyno alot of our buss.came from being a dealer.

Keep your word. Keep the shop very clean. Know your stuff. Be friendly and respectable.

i'm thinking i could get by doing air filter, pipe, jet kit, power commander installs. Just about all bolt-ons. I Would like to definately progress into some research and development though. What do you guys think?

lol . sounds like me. nothing like a clean shop and always tell the truth. yup im north of pittsburgh around 35 min.

Well I had an idea of starting up a dyno service also but after I added the costs up of everything it came to around 35K. Every little thing you do adds up so keep that in mind.

For sure, its alot better if you can have a mobile dyno also then atleast you can go to people houses and such when they need it done quickly.
