I just got a 450r not to long ago and I was talking with my neibor that has a raptor 700 and he said tranny oil and motor oil are the same in his bike is it like that for Honda

no they are split on the honda. Different oils.

i run castrol 10w 40 in both sides on mine, works great so far.

unlike your 450r, his raptor and my 400ex as well as most other atv's use the same oil for the tranny and motor.

You can run the same oil in both sides on the 450r also. I run synthetic 15w40 in both sides as recommended to me by GTThunder.
