unless you have some extra money that you just cant find a place to spend it on your bike.........go for it.

There is nothing wrong with the factory ign systems.

Is there something wrong with your ign system that you looking to fix ? Why not just replace it with factory parts ?

Take a look at Vortex for a programmable setup that WILL make a difference, then get out your BIG visa card, find a shop that has a weekend for ya un-interrupted and get on a dyno and start changing things til you find the perfect combo. There is lots of tuning to be done with every bike, but unless you can alter your ign timing thru-out the power band curve, you'll never have it perfect.
