Does anyone know where i can find a kit that makes, for my 400, to have a brake light too and not just a running light? Ive seen one before on ebay but cant find them anywhere now! Thanks

you can do it yourself with a hydraulic brake switch for the rear and a 450 MC/perch for the front...or 2 of the switches

Ill probably just do it for the back for now, but thanks!

it is pretty easy to do...

you will need to purchase the 12-0010 from this site for the rear: http://www.kandstech.com/index.php?page=brakeswitches#
it will install at the master cylinder.

and number 12-0003 for the front( i think as i have not done my front because i have an aftermarket lever)

i got my rear switch off of ebay.

and to make it easy, find an led light...i bought this one from ebay, but wish i had gotten one from a newer 400ex or 450r...here is the light i bought: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-UNIVERSEL-LED-TAILLIGHT-HONDA-250R-300EX-400EX-ATV_W0QQitemZ270324317067QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors _ATV_Parts_Accessories?hash=item270324317067&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

you will also need a few feet of 16 gauge wire, in 3 different colors(to keep straight what goes where) as well as crimp on snap or bullet connectors, a packages of 5 pair(5 each of male and female) should do.

once you get those, pm me and i will help you with the rest of the install.

Chris boriched raced with his still on his 450r. There too sweet looking to take off. And there so bright it blinds people in the woods when you are racing giving you some advantage. Trust me i have been behind someone that had a tail light i couldnt' see where the heck i was going.

I took mine off for 2 reasons. 1 the bulbs would break and the cover cracked, 2 it made it so much easier to get my foot back there for wheelies having all that room since i'm in size 13 boots.

Im wanting one for mine...yfz450 one with the clear lens...if anyone has one for sale let me know! I dont really wanna pay the 60 some odd dollars for a new one! And I dont need to use my foot in the grab bar to ride wheelies  just kidding foxhondarider!

I know but i cant slow wheelie sitting down, I just dont have the balance but going fast i'm fine sitting or standing without 1 foot on the grab bar.

here's another cheap trick you can do, if you plan on ditching your park brake and stock clutch perch just pull the switch out of it. It fits under the master cylinder on the front, same thing they used on the 450r for the brake light

here's another idea for a brake light. It doesnt look as cool as the 450r light but this baby has 56 LEDs!
