After I wash my bike I want to clean up my tires, I noticed some of the pics I see on some quads the tires are shiny, what are you guys using to make them look like that!

some people take the pics shortly after washing the bike while the tires are still wet.
I washed my son's quad this past weekend for some pics. I sprayed Armorall all over the tires and they came out looking good. I figured they'd slip on pavement, but they didnt.

Make sure you don't get it on the seat, pegs or handle bars.

use some bleach white while you're washing it if you have mud caked to them... stuff is a godsend.

I used black magic tire/wheel foam cleaner and tire wet. Works verry well but its kind of expensive. But I got a whole kit of armor all stuff and their tire/wheel cleaners are a little bit better.

I never do the tread part of the tire though. Only the sidewalls.

Please tell me why you would put utility tires on your quad. And sorry but some of us like to take care of our quads and like to have them looking good.

I don't have utility tires on my quad, dumbass, unless you consider Razr's utility tires.. I do have a set of mud tires (22") but that is only if I go riding in rual places and it is real muddy. Go ahead, pick fun at me, but I'll pass your sorryass up when your spinning your tires!

And when you have your tires shining, it looks cheep. Powerwash them and get all the mud and stains off and they look brand new, thats what I do.. :eek2:

anyways...

I'm not a fan of the shiny tires, I like them to look black and clean, like they are new. Shiny tires are corny looking IMO and belong on cars.

JMO.

I spray mine with simple green, then hose and brush them, I do the tread too, makes them look real nice, they look just like new tires without the shine. Plus dust and everything else wont stick to them like they would with sprays.

Nothing wrong with shiney tires. I like the looks of them too. Keeping a clean well maintained quad is nice. Not everyone on here understands that.

Prevents dry rot just like your car tires...You only need to do it once a year...For people that ride alot its usually not a problem, but when you dont get to ride alot or have to store it for a few months then its preventive maintenance. its not a bad idea to do anything rubber with some armor all wipes to keep them from cracking or dry rotting.
